We’ll get there together
The North Carolina Council of Churches welcomes faith communities and like-minded faith or community organizations as Covenant Partners. By becoming a Covenant Partner, organizations show their commitment to one or more of the Council’s areas of work, including immigration and farmworker issues. It does not mean the organization must be in agreement with all NC Council of Churches’ work, however.
In these difficult times for prophetic, progressive efforts for social justice, we need to be together and to be overt about our encouragement of one another. This is a tangible way for your organization to be in a covenant relationship with the NC Council of Churches, an organization with more than 75 years of history in the area of social justice in North Carolina.
To participate, we ask that Covenant Partners name a liaison to be their organizational contact with the Council and to take part in quarterly conference calls with our staff and other Covenant Partners. And we ask for an annual financial contribution of whatever amount your organization is able. We have Covenant Partners giving from $100 to $2000 each year. Already, more than 35 congregations and organizations have signed up.
